Asus has announced its first portable console, ROG Ally, a device that mounts a custom-built AMD Ryzen Z1 series processor with RDNA 3 graphics, 120Hz Full HD panel and Zero Gravity thermal system.

Republic Of Gamers (ROG) is a sub-brand of Asus dedicated to the hardware and software development focused on video games, which already houses several products in its portfolio, such as motherboards, graphics cards or laptops.

This division has now presented Asus ROG Ally, a portable console that comes with an AMD Ryzen Z1 series processor, a lightweight configuration weighing only 608 grams and a design with optimized and ergonomic grips.

The platform is equipped with a 120 Hz Full HD (1080p) panel that reaches a brightness of 500 nits compatible with Adaptive Sync, which guarantees gaming sessions without graphic distortions or stops in the event of a frame-per-second drop.

In addition, it has ROG’s Zero Gravity thermal system, which incorporates a dual finned fan heatsink thin and high friction heat pipes, which ensure that the console stays cool in any orientation.

The ROG Ally works with Windows 11 and allows navigation both with the touch screen and with the buttons and the rest of the triggers that it incorporates, it has a special edition of Armoury-Crate, created specifically for the console.

The technology company will launch this product next May 11date in which it will reveal more details about the device, as well as its sale price.

This act, which will begin the 4:00 p.m. (mainland Spain), will be attended by the Director of Product Management of the Asus Gaming Business Unit, Shawn Yen; Microsoft Gaming Device Ecosystem CVP Roanne Sones; and AMD’s Chief Architect of Gaming Marketing and Solutions, Frank Azor.
