INDIA

India is one of the countries most affected by what in medical jargon is called “antimicrobial resistance“, which means that the bacteria responsible for infections are resistant to antibiotics. At Katshurba Hospital, Maharashtra, doctors discovered that some drugs have less than 15% of effectiveness against the most common bacteria.

THAILAND

Thai Prime Minister Payuth Chan-Ocha ordered a offensive against the spread of drugs in the country after a former police officer attacked a daycare center and killed 36 people. The former police officer had been suspended from duty for drug possession, although medical tests did not reveal the presence of drugs at the time of the attack.

SINGAPORE

Life expectancy fell for the first time in the city-state due to deaths from covid-19, despite the fact that Singapore was one of the countries least affected by the pandemic. Between January 2020 and June 2022, there were 2,490 deaths, of which 60% were directly caused by the coronavirus. In 40% of the cases, the people had previous pathologies.

AFGHANISTAN

However, China, Venezuela and Pakistan voted against the resolution (29 votes in favour, 15 abstentions). In recent days, the UN mission in Afghanistan has sent teams to Panjshir to investigate the alleged torture and killing of civilians by the Taliban.

SAUDI ARABIA

Saudi Aramco said that will keep your supply constant of crude oil to seven Asian countries despite the production cuts decided in recent days by OPEC + and shipments will be made in November, before the winter peak. Furthermore, despite rising energy costs across the board, Riyadh has also kept its crude prices unchanged for Asian countries.

RUSSIA

The last Russian speaker of the Aleutian language, the language of the Eskimos who also live in Alaska, Gennadiy Yakovlev, 86, died in Kamchatka, according to the chairperson of the Aleutina district Duma, Galina Koroleva. He spoke in the dialect variant of the islands and lived in the village of Nikolskoe on the island of Bering, belonging to the Komandorskye archipelago.

ARMENIA – AZERBAIJAN
