On October 3, ASEAN has awarded fifteen companies for their achievements in creating a safe, healthy, inclusive and supportive work environment at the fourth awards ceremony of the Occupational Health and Safety Network (OSHNET) of the ASEAN.
In his speech, ASEAN Secretary General Dato Lim Jock Hoi congratulated the awardees for their commitment to promoting the resilience of workers by adopting high standards of safety and health in the workplace ( SST), which is critical to sustain ASEAN’s post-pandemic recovery.
The ASEAN-OSHNET Awards of Excellence were awarded to seven companies that implemented good OH&S management systems. They are Megamas Training Company Sdn Bhd from Brunei Darussalam; Olive Apparel (Cambodia) Co., Ltd from Cambodia; pt. Petrosea, Tbk. – Petrosea Support Facilities of Indonesia; FGV Sahabat 11 Plantation from Malaysia; Apache Cement (Shwe Taung Cement Company Ltd) from Myanmar; Testing Inspection & Solution Pte Ltd of Singapore; and Thai Summit Harness Public Co., Ltd of Thailand.

In addition, the ASEAN-OSHNET Best Practices Awards were given to eight small and medium-sized enterprises with good OSH practices, namely Bandtree Sdn Bhd from Brunei Darussalam; Marvel Garment Co., Ltd from Cambodia; pt. Tirta Gajah Mungkur from Indonesia; LG Consulting and Construction Sole Co., Ltd of Lao PDR; Tech Food Ingredients Sdn Bhd from Malaysia; Shwe Phe Oo Tea Powder and Tea Mix Factory from Myanmar; Penguin Engineering & Construction Pte Ltd of Singapore; and Thai Containers Group Co., Ltd (Songkhla Plant) of Thailand.
Since its inception in 2016, the ASEAN-OSHNET Awards have recognized private companies for their compliance with labor and OSH legislation, their genuine and effective leadership and worker participation, as well as their good sustainable and transferable OSH practices. .
The awards also reinforce public-private partnerships to improve OSH in the region. The Myanmar Ministry of Labor organized the virtual award ceremony in conjunction with the 9th ASEAN-OSHNET Conference, where the awardees shared their strong health and safety management policies.

The first OSHNET Awards ceremony was hosted by Vietnam in 2016, followed by Cambodia and Lao PDR, which hosted the second and third awards in 2018 and 2021 respectively.
