Armored Core turns 25 and track suggests imminent announcement of new installment

Although several companies will not go to gamescom 2022, Ubisoft confirms attendance

FromSoftware is one of the most prestigious studios in the video game industry that is well known today thanks to its work related to the style souls. However, one of the series she worked on first is Armored Corewhich is celebrating its birthday today and an announcement of the franchise seems to be imminent.

The first installment of the series Armored Core debuted precisely on July 10, 1997 in Japan, so the franchise is already celebrating its 25th anniversary (in Japan it’s already July 10).

The announcement of a new Armored Core imminent?

This afternoon something interesting happens with the FromSoftware official site. We say this because when searching for the studio in any browser, the results show the company’s official page, with a striking detail, since instead of showing the name “FromSoftware” it shows “armored core”.

However, within the page there is no news about the series. In a banner appear the multiple games of the company in which it appears Armored Core: Verdict Daythe latest installment in the series, which arrived in 2013. The link takes you to the game’s long-standing official site.

The above has naturally caught the attention of many, as it suggests that the announcement of the new game in the series is very close and that FromSoftware is only fine-tuning the details of the reveal announcement, which could very well take place next week.

We remind you that the development of a new Armored Core it is no mystery. In 2016 Hidetaka Miyazaki, leader of the study, confirmed that he was working on 3 projects. one ended up being Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and another became ELDEN RING; Miyazaki revealed that they were working on a new project for Armored Core and this would be the third.
