The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Ceyhun Bayramov, agreed this Friday during a meeting in Moscow to continue with the negotiations to reach a peace agreement between the parties.
Thus, the parties have expressed their gratitude to the Russian Government for “organizing the negotiations” and have shown their commitment to continue with the process, as reported by the Armenian Foreign Ministry.
In this regard, he stated that the parties have agreed to “continue working on the project of a peace agreement and the establishment of interstate relations.”
“There has been a constructive exchange of views on the issues on which the parties continue to disagree,” the text states.
On Thursday, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that Yerevan had accepted Moscow’s proposal to hold a high-level meeting with Azerbaijan on May 25 in Moscow, a decision the United States has applauded.
