After the great success of its debut, the series “Arcane”, produced by Riot Games in collaboration with Netflix and inspired by “League of Legends”, reaffirms itself as one of the best video game adaptations after winning the Emmy for Best Animation Program.

With this distinction at the 2022 Emmy Awards, the production becomes the first animated series on a streaming platform to win this distinction, marking a historic event for Netflix.

Since its launch, Arcane has become a resounding success, ranking among the most watched series on Netflix in more than 66 countries. In addition, at the Emmy gala it surpassed productions such as: “Bob’s Burgers”, “The Simpsons”, “Rick & Morty2 and “What If…?”.

Arcane co-creator Christian Linke thanked the “League of Legends” community for their support of the game for 12 years, as well as the new fans who loved the series.

“It’s been amazing to see the world embrace our characters and our stories, so thank you to Netflix, who believed in us from the beginning.” Linke said upon receiving the Emmy award.

It should be noted that “Arcane” also managed to win the Annie Awards, where it added nine awards to its list of winners. Now, he managed to win the most important award in the television industry in the United States.

“Arcane” tells the story of Jinx and Vi, while showing all the social conflict that exists between the neighbors, Piltover and Zaun. Thanks to its great reception, the series has been renewed for a second season that is in the process of production, but there is still no release date.
