AppleCare+ coverage for iPhone theft and loss arrives in Spain

Manzana has implemented in Spain, through its AppleCare+ insurance program, coverage for loss and theft of the iPhone, one of the features most requested by users of these ‘smartphones’.

AppleCare+ in insurance that arrived in Spain in 2019 and that offers both expert technical assistance and hardware coverage, with advantages such as battery repair coverage or priority access to Apple technical support.

This iPhone service includes a minimum of two incidents of accidental damage every 12 months, up to the limit stipulated in the conditions, depending on the type of rate chosen. However, each occurrence is subject to a service charge.

Despite has been active for several years in this country, this program did not include certain features that were available in other regions. Among them, coverage for theft or loss of the device.

However, as the company anticipates on their support websiteiPhone users in Spain can now access this advantage integrated into the AppleCare+ insurance program.

In this way, in addition to the options that this system already presents, users will have coverage for a minimum of two incidents of theft or loss every 12 months, depending on the chosen policy.

This service requires the ‘Find’ feature to be enabled on the device at the time of the loss or theft, as well as during the iPhone claim process.

In Spain, you can take out a fixed-term policy for two years of coverage or an annual policy, with payment in monthly installments, which will be automatically renewed each year until it is cancelled.

These rates are €11.49 (annual policy, payment in monthly installments) and 229 euros for two-year contracts for the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max models.

The prices of this service for iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 11 start from €8.49 at 169 euros for policies with a duration of 24 months.

Finally, Apple has indicated that the 3rd generation iPhone SE can benefit from this program for €4.49 in the case of the annual policy with payment in monthly installments, and for 89 euros in case you want to extend the contract for another year.
