We are all more than familiar with the iconic phrase “Hey Siri”, a phrase used to call Apple’s voice assistant, which we can find on your iPhone, iPad and macOS devices. However, as we read in TechCrunch, It seems that this is about to change in a while.
It is not a change that can be made from today to tomorrow, Well, while “Hey Siri” is something that we usually need to say deliberately, it is something more common to mention Siri casually without necessarily wanting to ask her for something, so a good optimization job should be done before launching something like that.
That is why this command reduction is not expected to be seen on Apple devices until 2023 or even 2024, date in which Apple will be able to live up to voice assistants like those of Amazon or Microsoftwhich already recognize commands such as Alexa and Cortana respectively, although in this case Cortana is no longer with us on smartphones.
Apple has been working for years to improve Siri in every possible way, and in this case, this change should increase the speed at which we can ask our voice assistant for things.
