Apple wants iMessages to be read with the sender's voice

16 Feb. (Portaltic/EP) –

Manzana works on a novelty for his iMessage messaging app that would allow a voice message to be obtained from a text written in the voice of the person who sent it.

The messages that the user receives in iMessage currently offer the possibility of have the virtual assistant Siri read them aloudresorting to the relevant commands.

However, Apple seeks to personalize this experience, as stated in the text of a patent seen by Patent Apple and published this Thursday in the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

The text explains a system that would allow the receiver of a text message to listen to it with the voice of the one who sent it, not with the text set for Siri. This would only require a small sample of the sender’s voice.
