Apple has announced the long-awaited renewal of its 8.3-inch iPad, which after the latest redesign is largely limited to updating a technical sheet that was already somewhat elaborate. Thus, the new iPad mini incorporates an A17 Pro processor that should improve the CPU performance of the old A13 by 30%, while the GPU offers 25% more power. Equally important is the fact that the Neural Engine runs twice as fast.
This last section is quite important, since the Apple mini is configured as a machine fully compatible with and ready to exploit the features of Apple Intelligence. However, this part of its potential cannot be fully exploited in Europe, since European Union restrictions on privacy and data use mean that many of its features will not be accessible.
Something that can be used without the slightest restriction will be the support for the Apple Pencil Pro pencil, which will turn the iPad mini into an interesting prototyping and graphic design machine for professionals who cannot or do not want to afford a larger iPad. This pencil is much more complete than the original Apple Pencil, with a greater number of interactions (squeeze, twist, haptic feedback) to improve user productivity.
For the rest, the new iPad mini will come with 128 GB of storage in the base model (previously it was 64 GB), incorporates a faster USB-C port and improves the speed of Wi-Fi connectivity thanks to a 6E modem.
