Apple updates Apple TV 4K with the A15 Bionic chip, HDR10 and support for the Matter standard

Apple has updated its Apple TV 4K streaming device with the A15 Bionic chip and support for HDR10 +, in addition to providing it with support for the Matter connectivity standard, since it can function as a connected home center.

The new Apple TV 4K is equipped with the A15 Bionic chip that delivers up to 50 percent faster CPU performance than the previous generation and up to 30 percent faster GPU performance, for smoother gaming and browsing experiences.

This new streaming device is compatible with Dolby Vision and with HDR10+, but also with Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital 7.1 or Dolby Digital 5.1.2 to experience surround sound theater at home.

It is compatible with the remote siri-remotewhich includes a touch clickpad and Apple TV interface, from which you can access series and movies from the Apple TV+ service, Apple Arcade video games and the Apple Fitness+ physical activity and wellness service.

Also, the new Apple TV 4K works as smart home automation center, which means it can connect to compatible accessories like HomeKit cameras, lights, shades, and more. And it has support for Matter connectivity standard.

The new Apple TV 4K is available in two configurations: WiFi with 64 GB of storage, Y WiFi + Ethernet with 128GB, which includes support for Gigabit Ethernet to speed up network connection and playback in ‘streaming’, Thread mesh network protocol.

This equipment will be available with the Siri Remote from 169 euros from Friday, November 4, in more than 30 countries and regions, including Spain.
