Apple confirms cyber attack on Mac users

WebKit is a recurring target for hackers, since through this component they look for vulnerabilities that allow access to the device’s software and thus reach the user’s private data.

Apple releases iOS 18.1.1 to fix security bugs

Apple recommends updating all brand devices as soon as possible to prevent them from being compromised by the error that was discovered, since the malware is still latent on the internet.

In the case of iPhones and iPads, this is the 18.1.1 update, while on Mac computers it is the Sequoia version 15.1.1 and visionOS 2.1.1 for the Vision Pro Mixed Reality glasses.

In addition to fixing security bugs, this update also includes new Apple Intelligence features for devices that support the latest Artificial Intelligence features.

How to update to iOS 18.1.1?

In order to download the update, it is first necessary to make sure that the iPhone has at least 50% charge or is plugged into the charger, in addition to being connected to a Wi-Fi network to avoid wasting mobile data.

Then, to start the process you need to go to Settings>General>Software Update on the iPhone or any other device. The most recent version will appear there to download and the process will be automatic from this point.
