Anker Soundcore Space Q45: the heirs of the best cheap Bluetooth headphones go all out in noise cancellation

Anker just introduced the new wireless headphones Anker Soundcore Space Q45. After two very successful and recommended models such as the Soundcore Q30 and Q35, the company boasts that these headband headphones come with the best Soundcore noise cancellation, blocking up to 98% of surrounding noise.

Previous models had decent noise cancellation but couldn’t compete with offerings from the likes of Apple, Sony or Bose, while in sound they did come to be on par through certain equalizationdespite having a much lower cost. The Soundcore Space Q45 go up in price to 149.99 euros seeking to correct that weak point and with other improved features, such as the arrival of Bluetooth 5.3.

The heir to one of the kings in value for money

The Anker Soundcore Space Q45 receive a new three-stage adaptive noise cancellation system which, according to company tests certified by SGS, cancels out 98% of surrounding noise. In other words, the system is not static, but rather varies depending on where it considers we are: indoors, outdoors, on public transport, planes, etc. Against this, the previous ones had a way to switch between these environments, but it was not automatic. Now, in that application we can also choose between five cancellation levels.

As for the sound, the Soundcore Q45 repeat with 40 millimeter drivers, with double layer and made of metal and ceramic. According to the manufacturer, they improve performance at all frequencies and achieve a more balanced sound profile. One of the previous problems, fixable in the application, was an excess of low frequencies.

The codec is not missing LDAC (on Android devices), highest bitrate yet, nor Hi-Res certified and Hi-Res wireless. Anyone who wants can use them on several devices at the same time thanks to being able to establish several simultaneous connections, although the fact that playback stops when you put them on and take them off is still missing, something that the Q35 did have.

Since the pandemic, apart from noise cancellation for working indoors, microphones are of great importance, with so many video calls. To do this, these Soundore Space Q45 include two dual microphones with an algorithm that filters noise and offers greater clarity thanks to the use of artificial intelligence. For environments where you need to hear context, the Q45s include transparency mode.

Regarding autonomy, Anker promises 65 hours of wireless playback without noise cancellation activated, along with 50 with noise cancellation activated, surpassing both the predecessors, Q30 and Q35, by 10 hours. As for the load, 5 minutes give for 4 hours, as in the previous models

The Anker Soundcore Q45 are available from today on Amazon for 149.99 euros. At the moment, they are only sold in black, but the brand reports that later they will arrive in white and navy blue.
