The television anime based on the popular manga 365 Days to the Wedding (Kekkon Surutte, Hontō Desu ka?: 365 Days to the Wedding) by Tamiki Wakaki is generating high expectations and excitement with its third promotional video, released last Saturday. This trailer, along with the anime’s second key visual, has revealed three new cast members and provided a first look at the theme songs that will accompany the series.
The new promotional video introduces Nao Tōyama as Claudia, a princess of Lichtburg; Fairouz Ai as Nao Umiyama, a childhood friend of protagonist Takuya; and Tesshō Genda as Kōichi Ohara, Takuya’s father. These announcements further expand the previously announced cast, which features Saori Hayami as Rika Honjoji and Kentarō Kumagai as Takuya Ohara.
In addition, the cast of the anime adaptation has been joined by Ami Koshimizu, who will voice Asako Kurokawa, Fukushi Ochiai in the role of Hiromi Gonda, Kana Asumi as Natsumi Komiya, Haruki Ishiya playing Keisuke Itsuki, Kentarō Tone as Susumu Shinshi and Finally, Jōji Nakata as Jouji-san
About the production team of the series
On the other hand, the direction of the anime will be in charge of Hiroshi Ikehata, known for his work in FLCL Progressive and Dark Gatheringunder the production of Ashi Production. Kazuho Hyodo, who has supervised scripts in Kiratto Pri☆Chan and TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For Youis in charge of the scripts for this series. Meanwhile, Shuji Maruyama, responsible for the character design in Isekai Cheat Magician and Helckdesigns the characters. Shun Narita and Yūsuke Seo are in charge of the music at Pony Canyon. Finally, Ryōsuke Naya is the sound director at Studio Mausu.
Newly announced additional staff members include Miyako Nishida as sub-character designer, Aiko Yamagami as color designer, and Quan Bin Zhong as art director. Additionally, Manami Takizawa will be handling art configuration, and Iori Yokoi will be the director of photography. Editing will be handled by Akinori Mishima (Mishima Editing Room).
As for the anime’s music, it will be highlighted by the opening theme song “Kirakira” (which translates to “Brilliant”). The theme song will be performed by HoneyWorks feat. HaKoniwalily, and the ending song “Tsumari wa” (“In Summary”) will be performed by GOHOBI. The anime is scheduled to premiere on October 3 of this year, which adds even more excitement among fans of the series.

What is the romantic comedy “365 Days to the Wedding” about?
The manga 365 Days to the Wedding tells the story of Takuya and Rika. They are both co-workers at a travel agency in Tokyo. They are both single and lead full lives at home, but they face a dilemma when their company is looking for staff for an office in Siberia, and unmarried employees are the first to be considered for transfer. To avoid this transfer, Rika proposes to Takuya the idea of pretending they will get married in a year, in the hopes of remaining in the Japanese capital. However, the challenge is that they barely know each other. The premise revolves around whether a pretend relationship between these two shy co-workers can turn into something real.
Tamiki Wakaki launched the manga in the magazine Weekly Big Comic Spirits of Shogakukan in March 2020, and the series concluded with its 11th volume in July 2023. Additionally, the manga inspired a live-action series adaptation that debuted in October 2022, thus expanding its presence in different media.
