Anato makes recess week projections

In less than a week it will start the Week of Recess decreed in 2007 as a period of academic rest for students of preschool, basic and secondary education. Traditionally this season became a focus of tourism due to the number of days it comprises. At this time, Colombian families take advantage of traveling.

For Paula Cortés, executive president of Anato, “this season has traditionally been a milestone for tourism. And now that destinations inside and outside the country have begun to normalize the movement of tourists, we believe that this will leave excellent results for the country.“, he pointed.

According to the behavior that the travel industry has had so far, Anato estimates that in the week of recess during October about 134 thousand Colombians will leave the country and that around 824 thousand passengers travel within the national territory on domestic flights. It should be clarified that although the sector is on a growth path, it has been slowing down in recent months, so an increase of 9% is expected for October compared to the same month in 2019.

For this, the agencies designed a package offer that the demands of the sector are adapted based also on the relaxation of the restrictions of the different destinations.
