June 26 (EUROPA PRESS) –

India’s opposition Sena party has urged the other parties conspiring against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to become the “non-violent Indian Wagner Group” because “the dictatorship can be challenged.”

“Either Modi or (Russian President Vladimir) Putin, they have to face a rebellion. The Government of India will be ousted by a non-violent Wagner through the ballot box,” the party said in an editorial in its official newspaper, ‘Saamana’.

“Like Putin, Modi has to leave, but in a democratic way,” added the formation, which highlighted last week’s meeting in Patna in which 32 leaders of different opposition parties agreed to coordinate against the current Executive in the 2024 elections. “The Wagner Group met in Patna to protect democracy,” he stressed, according to the Indian news agency PTI.

In addition, he has argued that in the event of fraud with the electronic voting machines, “the anger of the people against the government” will restore normalcy “as in Manipur.”

Nearly 120 people were killed and more than 3,000 were killed on May 3 in Manipur in an outbreak of ethnic violence between the Meitei and Kuki communities. In the incidents, thousands of people were left homeless due to the burning of their homes.
