An Israeli citizen has been seriously injured after being stabbed in the Givat HaMivtar settlement in East Jerusalem. The assailant, a Palestinian, has been shot down by the Israeli Security Forces and is also in serious condition.
The Israeli Red Star of David, Magen David Adom, has reported that the victim, a young ultra-Orthodox man, was found with a knife stuck in his back in a park and taken to Shaare Zedek Medical Center.
The Police have reported a major police deployment to locate the aggressor, who fled on foot. It was located in a soccer field in the Arab neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrá. He turned against the agents, who opened fire, always according to the police version. The attacker would be a Palestinian teenager from East Jerusalem who was admitted to the Hadassah Hospital on Mount Scopus.
This same Saturday another Palestinian has died in Qalqilia, in the north of the West Bank, after being shot in the head in an intervention by the Israeli Security Forces, the Palestinian Ministry of Health has reported. The young man has been identified as Rabi Arafah Rabi, 32 years old.
Israeli media have reported a Palestinian driver who rammed his vehicle into a checkpoint in the northern West Bank.
