While Nintendo looks for a gap in the agenda to present its next console, the rest of the world continues to move forward and reveal details about the device. The latest to join the party has been the accessory manufacturer Genki, which has appeared at CES 2025 in Las Vegas with a replica of the Nintendo Switch 2. To this leak we must add the appearance on a Chinese forum of photos of the new Joy-Con model which appears to have an optical sensor.

Genki assures that his replica of the Nintendo Switch 2 that he uses to show the accessories he already has prepared, has exact dimensions compared to the console that Nintendo has yet to present. When he does we will have to feign surprise. The German publication Netzwelt He has been able to hold the Switch 2 replica, and his feelings are that it is a significantly larger device than the current model that can be compared to the Lenovo Legion Go. This means that the Switch 2 will have an 8-inch or larger panel. The leaks on the diagonal of the screen point in this same direction.

The Switch 2 replica that Genki shows off at CES 2025 is accompanied by Joy-Cons, which instead of detaching from the console by sliding up, do so with a magnetic attachment mechanism. It is unknown for now if there will also be some type of mechanical lock, which in addition to adding security could maintain the iconic click. The replicas of Genki’s Joy-Con are intended to show off its controller charging station. Switch 2 has not yet been presented, but peripheral manufacturers already have all their products ready.

Another sign that peripheral manufacturers are more than prepared is found in the catalogs of wireless controllers and Joy-Con third-party that can be seen at CES 2025.
