It seems that AMD has high hopes for the demand for the next generation of AMD Ryzen processorsbecause as we can read in WCCFTechit seems that AMD’s demand for TSMC is so great that it will become the foundry’s second largest customer, above what we expected, thanks to the company’s new processors.
The AMD Ryzen 7000 Series have a lot to prove, and definitely the rumors that have been seen in recent days make it clear that they will be a tough competition for the equivalent Intel processors, the Raptor Lake, so the reception by users is expected to be positive.
We do not have approximate figures of how many units will be manufactured, but it is expected that AMD will be second to Apple in demand to TSMC, and Apple’s demand is astronomical, considering that all processors in Apple products are designed by the Cupertino company and commissioned to TSMC for manufacturing and packaging.
AMD Ryzen 7000 Series processors will hit the market manufactured with TSMC’s 5 nanometer node and will feature up to 16 process cores, which will increase to 96 process cores in AMD EPYC Genoa processors.
