We are already in July, the month in which AMD will have available to buy them processors for next-generation desktops, the AMD Ryzen 9000 Series. In the absence of an official confirmation from AMD, the rumored date chosen has been the last day of this monthAs this date approaches we are learning more details of this next generation, such as compatibility with DDR5 memory at 6,400 MT/s for this generation of CPUs with cores Zen 5.
According to We see in Wccftechthe AMD Ryzen 9000 Series processors also known as Granite Ridge will feature a cIOD identical to the previous generation Ryzen 7000 Series “Raphael”this cIOD contains he DDR5 memory controllerAs part of the small change, the DDR5 has gone from 6,000 MT/s of the Rapahel to these 6,400 MT/s with a 1:1 ratio between MCLK and FCLKa ratio that can be increased up to 1:2 by the motherboard manufacturersand that will allow to increase the speed up to more than 8,000 MT/s although with underperformance which will do so with the recommended speed of 6,400 MT/s.
It is expected that soon AMD Expo profiles memories appear With this speed 6.400 MT/s so that they can be used and take full advantage of the performance along with these upcoming AMD processors.
