AMD confirms Krackan CPUs coming to affordable Copilot+ laptops in 2025



The current offering of AI laptop processors “Copilot+PC” It is formed by the last Strix Point APUs that shape the AMD Ryzen AI 300. Equipped with 50 TOPS NPUs, the latest Zen 5 and Zen 5c cores, and RDNA 3.5 graphics, this is AMD’s most powerful platform for this type of device and will compete with the upcoming Intel Core Ultra 200V “Lunar Lake” or Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite.

As for the CPU part, instead of a total of 12 Zen5/Zen5c cores, we will have 8 (4 Zen5 + 4 Zen5c) with support for LPDDR5X-8000 and 16 MB of shared cache.
