This month, fallout is celebrating its 25th anniversary and it seems Bethesda had a big surprise in store for it, as it just revealed the first photo of its ambitious TV project.
As you may remember, in July 2020 Bethesda and Amazon announced an alliance to adapt fallout to the small screen through Prime Video. Since then there had been no major updates revealing the start date of production or filming.
Well, after almost 2.5 years, today Amazon Prime Video finally gave the first look at the TV series.

Where will the TV series take place? fallout?
“Congratulations and happy 25th anniversary! We did something special for the occasion,” said the official Amazon Prime Video account on Twitter and shared at the same time the first image of the production in which several survivors of a vault are seen opening it apparently for the first time in many years.
Something interesting about the image is that, although it does not reveal the faces of the survivors of the vault, it is possible to see that they belong to number 33. If you are a fan of the series, you know very well that no game has explored this vault, so the content of the TV series would be completely original.

It is not known where the Amazon Prime Video show events will take place, but it is important to mention that Fallout: New Vegas recounts the events of the survivors of Vault 34, which took place near what was Las Vegas, Nevada. That said, there is speculation about the possibility that the TV series will take place in a region close to or at least within the area of the west coast of the United States.
Kilter Films, company that is responsible for the production of the HBO series Westworld. The creatives Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy will be precisely the creators, writers and executive producers of the project. Bethesda executives Todd Howard and James Altman are also involved in the project as executive producers.
Nolan will be in charge of the script of the first chapter. The production of the other chapters will be in charge of Geneva Rovertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner.
Unfortunately, Amazon Prime Video didn’t take the opportunity to share a launch window, so we’ll have to wait to find out. However, taking into account that filming has apparently already begun, it is very likely that it will be a project that debuts in 2023.
