Almost thirty students injured in a bus accident in Germany

DUSSELDORF, April 21 (DPA/EP) –

Almost thirty high school students have been injured when the double-decker bus that was transporting them from the German city of Marburg, north of Frankfurt, suffered a serious accident on the way to England.

According to the Police, 27 students aged 14 and 15 have been injured, four of them seriously, although their lives are not in danger.

Five teachers who accompanied the school trip and the bus driver were unharmed, a police spokesperson reported on Sunday.

The bus with a total of 73 people on board suddenly overturned early Sunday morning on the A45 motorway near the western German town of Wenden, ending up on the shoulder.

The cause of the accident has not yet been clarified and the Police continue to investigate the area of ​​​​the accident. The A45 motorway was closed in front of the accident site and traffic was diverted for several hours.
