July 1 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The president of the Sovereign Transitional Council of Sudan and Sudanese military leader, Abdelfatá al Burhan, will travel to Russia at the end of next month to attend the second Russia-Africa summit to be held in Saint Petersburg.
“The leader of our council is going to attend this forum,” Vice President Malik Agar announced this past Friday during a press conference in Moscow, this past Friday, collected by the Sudan Post.
The visit, except for an extraordinary turn of events, will take place in the middle of the war between the Sudanese Army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF); a conflict that since April 15 has left hundreds dead, thousands injured, and hundreds of thousands of displaced persons and refugees.
The summit will be held between July 26 and 29 in the Russian city.
