“Mexico is one of the most dynamic and demanding markets in the wedding and events sector. With Glya, we want to transform the way hotels and venues manage their operations, helping them better connect with their customers and maximize their potential in such a competitive market,” said Franco Lukini, Co-Founder and CEO of Glya.

According to the 2023 Global Wedding Report, the average planning time for these events in the country is 8 to 10 months, and involves hiring at least 10 suppliers to organize events that usually have an average of 145 guests and an average minimum cost of 150,000 pesos.

This report indicates that Mexico has established itself as an attractive destination for international weddings, which generates an economic impact of 18 billion dollars annually. In 2023, more than 700,000 weddings took place in Mexican territory.

However, according to Glya the growing market also faces challenges:

“Hotels and event organizers face a high demand for inquiries, complex sales closing processes and the need to offer personalized experiences,” they point out.

Under this premise, the use of technology is proposed as a support in event management. Gastón Lombardi, co-founder and CGO of Glya, pointed out that their product aims to provide a tool that simplifies the work of the organizers of these events “and allows them to concentrate on creating unforgettable experiences for their clients.”

According to the company, the platform, which will be officially available on January 20, 2025, is intended to eliminate common interferences in the management of queries and closing reservations. Among its main features are:

Personalized recommendations: Glya analyzes customer preferences in real time and generates suggestions adapted to the specific needs of each event and hotel.

Automation of the sales process: the platform manages everything from inquiries to contract signing.

Information centralization: The platform organizes relevant event data in one place for easier access.

Payment management: the release of payments to hotels, suppliers and other parties can also be done from the same place.
