The Member States of the EU and the European Parliament have closed a provisional agreement on the regulation of support for the production of ammunition in Europe, a decision with which the Twenty-seven aspire to fill their arsenals while reinforcing aid to Ukraine and improving the European industrial base.

This will accelerate the delivery of ammunition to Ukraine in this crucial phase of the war,” said the president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, about this agreement, the first forged under the Spanish presidency of the Council of the EU.

Along the same lines, the president of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, stressed that this agreement will speed up arms deliveries to Ukraine and replenish the stocks of European armies. “Our support for Ukraine is relentless. For as long as it takes,” she said.
