PlayStation VR2 has not fully met the expectations of sonysince the device for PlayStation 5 recorded sales below expectations. Given this, the company decided to extend its support and make it compatible with computers. Thanks to this, users of the virtual reality device will be able to use it in their PC and enjoy the huge library of Steam titles.
This will be possible thanks to an official adapter that Sony revealed this morning on the PlayStation blog. The accessory will hit stores in a few months, so below we share details such as its release date, price and more.

PS VR2 will be compatible with PC and Steam games
Sony reported that its new complement for PS VR2 will let users connect their device to their PC and play acclaimed titles VR that are available on Steam, such as Half-Life: Alyx, Fallout 4 VR, War Thunderamong many others.
Those interested will have to meet several requirements. The first of them is to acquire the new adapter that will be sold in exchange for $59.99 USD. Additionally, they will require a DisplayPort cable that is compatible with DisplayPort 1.4. Of course, you must have a PC with the necessary requirements to run VR games and a Steam account.
The company assured that the configuration will be very simple, since it will only be necessary to connect the adapter and the cable, as well as download an application to make the necessary configurations.
Sony emphasized that PS VR2 was designed for PlayStation 5, so some of its features will not be available for Steam games. This includes HDR, haptic feedback, eye tracking, and adaptive controls. Below you can find out the minimum requirements to use the device on PC.

- Processor: Intel Core i5-7600 or AMD Ryzen 3 3100 (Zen 2 or later architecture required)
- RAM: 8 GB or more
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 or later (Turing architecture or later required), NVIDIA RTX series, AMD Radeon RX 5500XT or later, AMD Radeon RX 6500XT or later. (For optimal performance, we recommend using an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 or AMD Radeon RX 6600XT or later graphics card)
- DisplayPort: DisplayPort 1.4 (Standard DisplayPort or Mini DisplayPort output port required)
- USB: only for direct connection
- Bluetooth: Bluetooth 4.0 or later
