At its IFA 2024 fair, ACER has surprised with a striking gaming laptop concept within its Predator range for gamers. If we thought that everything had been invented in the sector, the ACER Project DualPlay It stands out among other devices for having a system of controls or “gamepads” integrated into the chassis itself.
These controls are attached to a central touch module that acts as a touch panel or trackpad. The entire module, including the controllers and touchpad, can be detached from the device so you can play directly as if it were an advanced gamepad.
If that were not enough, this module can be undock in the purest Nintendo Switch style and have two independent controls for two players on the same team
Additionally, by removing the controls, two 5W speakers unfold from the sides to enhance the sound directly towards the user.
For the moment, the ACER Project DualPlay is just a concept and there is still no date for when it will hit the market – if it ever does – nor do we know what technical specifications it would have. We can expect to find the latest processors from Intel or AMD inside, along with high-performance dedicated graphics.
