() — Aaron Carter’s twin sister paid tribute to the former pop singer after his death was confirmed on Saturday at the age of 34.
“My twin… I loved you without measure”, wrote Angel Carter in a post on Instagram, along with family photos of her and her brother as babies and toddlers. “You will be greatly missed.”
He then continued, “My funny and sweet Aaron, I have so many memories of you and me and I promise to cherish them. I know you are at peace now. I will carry you with me until the day I die and can see you again.”
Tributes from Angel and others are pouring in, after a source close to the family told on Saturday that Carter, who rose to stardom as a child with songs like “I Want Candy” and “That’s How I Beat Shaq” , was found dead in his bathtub.

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department told it responded to a call for help at Carter’s home in Lancaster, California, on Saturday morning around 11 a.m. local time, where he was found. to a deceased person.

Carter at times had a strained relationship with her twin and other siblings, including her older brother Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys. “To Aaron, I am deeply sorry that life has been so difficult for you and that you had to fight in front of the whole world,” Duff wrote on Instagram.
“You had a charm that was absolutely effervescent… boy did my teenage self love you dearly,” he added. “Sending love to his family at this time.”
Actress Melissa Joan Hart also expressed her condolences by posting a photo of her with Carter accompanied by the message: “Sending love to family, friends and fans of #AaronCarter. Rest in peace!”
