Russia has detained a 29-year-old Uzbek citizen for the murder this Tuesday of Lieutenant General Igor Kirillovhead of the Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Defense Forces (NBC).

The bomb, placed on a scooter, was detonated when Kirillov, 54, was leaving his house accompanied by his assistant, who has also died. The attack was claimed by Ukraine.

Russian security services claim that this Uzbek citizen was recruited by Ukrainian intelligence, according to state media agencies, and is the material author of the bomb attack, who would have been paid 100,000 dollars.

Furthermore, and following Ukraine’s instructions, this young Uzbek arrived in Moscow a few days ago and rented a car to watch Kirillov’s house. He placed the device on a scooter that he parked near the entrance to the building where the Russian general lived. The bomb, with a power equivalent to 300 grams of trilite, It was activated remotely, by radio signals.

The explosion was of such power that the window panes of the first three floors of the building exploded. In the published photographs you can see that the entrance to the housing block was completely destroyed and full of debris. “A legitimate objective”

The Russian Investigative Committee has reported that the event is being investigated as part of articles 105, 205 and 222 of the Russian Criminal Code, which

Who is Igor Kirillov

Kirillov, born in 1970, graduated from the Military Academy of Radiological, Chemical and Biological Defense and in 2009 he joined the Radiological, Chemical and Biological Defense Troops, a unit that he would lead in April 2017.

These troops are in charge of combating the effects of nuclear, radiological, biological and chemical weapons, generally known as weapons of mass destruction, and also of civil security operations in the event of an accident.
