The Palestinian authorities have reported this Thursday that an 18-year-old boy has died as a result of gunshot wounds in clashes with the Israeli Army in the city of Nablus, in the north of the West Bank.
The director of the Palestinian Red Crescent ambulance service in Nablus, Ahmed Jibril, has indicated that among the victims there are 31 wounded civilians, four of whom were shot with live bullets. Of these four victims, three are in critical condition, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.
The medical staff of the Arab Specialized Hospital has reported the death of the young man, Waseem Nasr Abu Khalifa, as a result of injuries sustained during clashes with the Israeli Army. Khalifa lived in the Balata refugee camp.
The clashes took place on Wednesday night and early Thursday, when a crowd of Jews made a monthly pilgrimage under military guard to the Tomb of Joseph, in the Palestinian city of the West Bank.
As for the Israelis, no injuries have been reported, although a bullet hit an armored bus in which they were traveling, The Times of Israel newspaper reported.
The Israeli Armed Forces (IDF) have not commented on the clashes, although they announced at the beginning of the night that they were working in the vicinity of the sanctuary to ensure the coordinated entry of the faithful to the complex, as published on their Twitter account.
