June 2 (EUROPA PRESS) –

A woman with Brazilian nationality identified as Fatima Bustani and two of her four children, Ali and Zahraa, were seriously injured this Saturday in an Israeli bombing of the house where they lived in Sadikin, in southern Lebanon.

Fatima is admitted to an intensive care unit and has hemorrhages in her head and lung after two operations on her leg due to an injury, while her two affected children are also hospitalized at the Lebanese-Italian Hospital in Tyre. The woman’s other two children are staying with relatives.

Now Bustani’s relatives who live in Brazil have requested the evacuation of the family from the risk area and their transfer to Brazil. “The mother is between life and death and the children are lost. They don’t know who to talk to, without a mother or father,” said Husein Ezdein in statements to the newspaper ‘O Globo’ from Brazil. The children’s father, Ahmad Aidibi, is in Sao Paulo.

The woman awaits medical authorization for the transfer, probably within 24 hours, depending on her health. “The Brazilian authorities have to bring the children and Fatima here, with more specialized doctors,” she added.

The Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reported that the Embassy in Beirut is in contact with relatives and the medical team and that it provides consular support to this family and other Brazilian citizens living in southern Lebanon.

“Brazil urges the parties involved in the hostilities to exercise maximum restraint and respect human rights and humanitarian law to avoid new civilian victims,” he stated.
