Brussels has raised from two to three (out of four) the level of anti-terrorist alert after this friday an Ftruck crashed into a terrace in the heart of the city causing at least six minor injuries.
The event took place on Saint-Michel street, perpendicular to Adolphe Max boulevard, according to the spokeswoman for the Brussels capital-Ixelles police, Ilse van deKere, which indicated that the driver of the vehicle realized on the run after the crash although a few hours later it was stopped.
The police spokeswoman added that a security perimeter has been established in the area and that an investigation has been opened to find the driver.

The terrace where the events occurred is located near rue Neuve, one of the most important commercial arteries from Brussels.
According to Walter Derieuw, a spokesman for Siamu Brussels, the event took place around 1:00 p.m. local time.
