A strong explosion was recorded this Sunday at a hotel in Jowhar, north of Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia, in what could be a new terrorist attack, according to several local media.

The SNTV network has indicated that it is a suicide attack with a car bomb and that the explosion took place in the vicinity of the hotel. The security forces have already moved to the scene.

For its part, the Halgan Media news portal has indicated that the attack took place next to the Noor Doob hotel and has warned that several people have been injured, including Asha Mohamed, a high-ranking local government official in Hirshabelle.
