The Intel Arc A580 GPU was introduced along with the rest of the Alchemist GPUsthe Intel Arc A380 A750 and A770, last year, but it is still the only one on that list of graphics cards that has not reached the marketand for now it still doesn’t.
Yes it is true that GPU-Z was updated with support for the Intel Arc A580 last year, and an evaluation sample appeared in the results database in Ashes of the Singularity a month before that.
Now, as we read in TechPowerUp, It appears that a supposed sample of the Intel Arc A580 was recently tested via a Vulkan-based renderer in GFXBench 5.0., and the truth is that the results are not exactly impressive. While the Intel A580 is faster than the A380, this isn’t exactly a milestone, but compared to the Arc A770, its performance is not very good.
It is possible that the drivers for this graphics card are still quite green, or that it is not even an Intel Arc A580 directly, so for now we will have to wait for more information from whoevereither by another leak or by Intel.
