At least one police officer was injured this Thursday in an attack with Molotov cocktails thrown at the home of the president of the Supreme Court of Greece, Ioanna Klapa, in the Papagou neighborhood, in the north of Athens.
The security forces, who have reported that a police vehicle has also suffered damage, have indicated that the attack was carried out by a group of between five and seven people who have not been identified at the moment.
Thus, he confirmed that Klapa has not suffered any damage, although he has clarified that the agent has second-degree burns and is admitted to a hospital in the area, according to information from the Greek news agency AMNA.
The Police have launched the relevant investigations to clarify the events, which took place shortly after midnight. Greek Government spokesman Pavlos Marinakis has condemned the attack and indicated that arresting those responsible is an “absolute priority” for the authorities.
