A Palestinian teenager dies from gunshot wounds he suffered a month ago after clashes in Ramallah

Oct. 20 (EUROPA PRESS) –

Al Fatá, the movement led by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, has mourned the death of a Palestinian teenager who died from injuries he suffered a month ago, the organization said in a statement.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health has reported that the minor, 16 years old and identified as Mohamed Nuri, has died as a result of injuries to his stomach after the clashes that took place at the entrance of Al Bireh, on the outskirts of Ramallah.

The teenager’s death has been announced on the same day that the West Bank has carried out a one-day general strike — with shops closed — against the Israeli Armed Forces, who are responsible for the death of Udai Tamini, another 22-year-old resident of the Shuafat refugee camp in Jerusalem.

Tamimi, a resident of Jerusalem’s Shuafat refugee camp, remained on the run for more than ten days after being accused of killing an Israeli soldier and wounding another in a drive-by shooting attack at the Shufat checkpoint on 8 October, according to the WAFA news agency.

The young man was shot several times in different parts of his body the day before after allegedly opening fire on several Israeli security agents who were at the entrance to the Israeli settlement of Maale Adumim.
