Sony has released a new update of your Beta program for the PlayStation 5 operating system that will allow users to have support for 1440p resolution, something that had not been available since the launch of the console. Instead, users of 1440p monitors had to play at 1080p, something that generated bad visual results when having to stretch an image to a non-native resolution or with integral scaling.
From now on, users who have a 1440p monitor, something common in PC monitors with diagonals from 27 inches, will be able to use it with their PlayStation 5 without image quality problems. something that was already the case with the Xbox Series X and Series S, avoiding the problem completely.
Another of the changes added in this Beta version of the system is the appearance of the Gamelists, a new way of organizing the games that will allow players to have up to 15 custom lists in which to place the titles in the order they want under the “Your collections” tab, with a maximum of 100 games per list.
This update is only available for users of the Beta firmware of the console, but it should reach its stable version soon.
