September 8 () –
A man has been seriously injured after being shot twice in the chest following a traffic accident in the centre of the French city of Grenoble.
The victim, a municipal official working to coordinate the clean-up, was apparently trying to prevent the driver from fleeing the scene in his vehicle, an Audi with a foreign license plate, according to local daily Le Dauphiné Libéré.
The injured man, a 49-year-old father of two, was taken to Grenoble University Hospital and is in danger of dying. The shooter, however, managed to flee the scene.
The photographs published by ‘Le Dauphiné Libéré’ show an impact on the rear of a Peugeot 2008 and considerable damage to the front of the attacker’s Audi, suggesting that the two vehicles were involved in a collision.
