the yacht Saga40 meters long, has sunk in the Gulf of Squillace, on the southern coast of Italy. The sinking has been so fast that it has barely lasted a few minutes.
Inside the yacht there were nine people, four passengers and five crew. It was the latter who notified the Italian Coast Guard that water was entering through the stern of the boat. The yacht was sailing from Gallipoli to Milazzo.
The rescue was activated as soon as the call was received and the nine people were transferred to another boat, since the yacht sank completely in just a few minutes. There are no injuries.
During the rescue, the Coast Guard agents had difficulties, since the weather conditions were very unfavourable.
The Italian authorities are investigating the causes that caused the accident.
