A leak completely exposes the Samsung Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 just days before their presentation

Samsung had reserved July 10 for its next Unpacked event, and this couldn’t be the first year in which its new products weren’t stripped down ahead of time. The relative absence of leaks was already beginning to be almost disconcerting, but Evan Blass, known for unofficially anticipating many of the most important launches in the telephone industry, has already revealed the new Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 almost in full.

The documentation published by Blass appears to come from a PDF or web page published ahead of time. It’s slightly incomplete, but it serves to give us an idea that the Galaxy Z Flip6, Samsung’s compact foldable, will incorporate a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor along with 12 GB of RAM (previously it was 8 GB), as well as 256 GB of storage and a 50 MP main camera instead of the 12 MP of the Galaxy Z Flip5.

Other improvements to the Galaxy Z Flip6 over the current generation include a slightly larger 4,000mAh battery, cooler chipset by means of a vapor chamber and IP48 protection, just like its older brother. Curiously, the external screen is IPS instead of OLED. It maintains Gorilla Glass 2 protection.

As for the larger Galaxy Z Fold 6, this mobile phone capable of becoming a sort of pocket tablet maintains the dimensions of its interior and exterior screens almost without noticeable changes, although it is now considerably brighter, with a maximum luminosity of 2,600 nits. In addition, the set weighs significantly less; 14 grams, to be exact. Below we find a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, protected by a more resistant aluminum chassis along with a battery of identical capacity to that of its predecessor.

While the hardware updates are hardly surprising, if not easy to predict, the software changes seem much more notable. According to reports, the Galaxy Z Fold6 will incorporate functions such as searching for words from images using the company’s digital pen and AI functions such as transcription of meetings with organization of notes. The Galaxy Z Flip6, for its part, will allow you to use Samsung’s translator on the outer screen while typing on the inner one, facilitating communication with our interlocutors abroad.

Prices for Samsung’s new foldable phones are still unknown, but the Galaxy Z Flip5 was originally priced between €1,200 and €1,300, while the larger Galaxy Z Fold5 cost between €1,900 and €2,300, rounding things up a bit.
