An unmanned device impacted on Monday at the airport facilities in the Russian city of Belgorod, located near the border with Ukraine, with no information on victims or material damage for the moment, as confirmed by the authorities on Tuesday.
According to information collected by the Russian newspaper ‘Izvestia’, the drone exploded at the facilities at around 4:30 p.m. (local time), without the Russian government having attributed responsibility for the incident.
Belgorod provinces, as well as Bryansk and Kursk provinces, have suffered attacks since the war began in Ukraine, unleashed on February 24, 2022 by order of Russian President Vladimir Putin. These provinces are under anti-terrorism alert because of these attacks by Ukrainian forces.
