July 2 (EUROPA PRESS) –
A woman in her 30s and a man in her 20s have been arrested this Sunday and charged with the murder of a newborn baby they had just had and who strangled him to death in the city of Goje, in southern South Korea.
The two suspects murdered the baby in her home and then buried the body in a steep area five days after it was born. The baby was born in September of last year.
The two initially stated that they discovered the dead baby on the morning of September 9 and decided to bury it on the mountain the next day, but later confessed that they had strangled it.
The couple claimed financial problems and that they feared they might be forced to separate if their families found out they had had a baby.
