In Brazil, the presidential election is particularly polarized and marked by a series of fake news and cross-accusations. Lula da Silva appears as the favorite in the polls, but is closely followed by current President Jair Bolsonaro.
A climate of tension and uncertainty takes hold of Brazil before the second round of the presidential elections.
Lula da Silva accuses the current president of following a totalitarian project based on lies, while Jair Bolsonaro affirms that the former president will lead the country to ruin by destroying private property, legalizing drugs and abortion, and perverting children.
The Superior Electoral Court cannot cope demanding the withdrawal of publications of fake newsprohibiting candidates from speaking about matters without truthfulness and analyzing the cross-accusations of those responsible for the campaigns.
Jair Bolsonaro denounced that some radio stations were not fulfilling their obligation to insert electoral propaganda in his favor. The Superior Court requested evidence and, failing to obtain it, began an investigation against the current president for crime, for hindering the holding of the elections. Bolsonaro replied that he will reach the ultimate consequences.
The polls favor Lula da Silva but do not offer a decisive result. Added to this uncertainty is the question of whether Bolsonaro would accept defeat or what he would do to cling to power.
