Extensions like Eight Dollars have seen how, from one day to the next, users with private accounts –generally marked with a lock icon— are misidentified as accounts that have paid for Twitter Bluesomething that, although it can be attributed simply to an error, It does not leave out that it was a change made on purpose to sow chaos.
Also, some users explain –as we read in this issue from GitHub— that some accounts are receiving this mark randomly, especially in the case of extremely old accounts created in 2008 or earlierso overall we’re looking at a mess on Twitter created by Twitter.
It is to be expected that, despite the small number of workers remaining in the company, there will still be time for this type of game, so, while the creators of these extensions will be able to play cat and mouse, we don’t know to what extent they are invincible.
