Darksiders and Warframe creators are working on an ambitious online RPG

A few hours ago we informed you that the studio in charge of Warframe, Digital Extremes, announced a new fantasy MMORPG game with influences from Studio Ghibli. Well, it wasn’t the only title he was working on, but also a very ambitious project involving the original developers of Darksiders.

TennoCon 2022 was one of the most incredible editions of the event, since Digital Extremes took the opportunity to reveal not 1, but 2 new games and one of them is attracting attention because it promises to be very ambitious. Its development will be borne by Airship Syndicate.

In addition to designing a new character for Warframe, Joe Madureira (original artist for Darksiders and founder and CEO of Airship Syndicate), made an appearance at TennoCon 2022 to reveal that the new game his studio is working on has the help of Digital Extremes.

What will the new Airship Syndicate and Digital Extremes game be about?

This new project was defined as a “character-based online action RPG” of a completely new IP that will also be free-to-play.

According to the details, this title without an official name will still be a third person action with original characters and world that will offer a sense of adventure and camaraderie.

Ryan Stefanelly, founder and president of Airship Syndicate, mentioned that they did not want to start this project at the beginning of the studio, but after they gained experience with games like Battle Chasers: Nightwar Y Darkskiders Genesis. That said, this is Airship Syndicate’s biggest project.

Unfortunately, the studio did not present a reveal trailer, but in the announcement trailer you can see gameplay of the game in the background, as well as glimpses of its characters and more gameplay elements.

What is Airship Syndicate?
