Spotify raises the price of all premium plans in Mexico and more LATAM countries

Undoubtedly, Spotify became one of the most popular options for listening to music and audio content like podcasts, etc. It is free, but users can purchase a premium plan to enjoy attractive benefits like removing ads and enjoying content in offline mode. Unfortunately, all plans saw a price increase.

Through a statement, the platform confirmed that all premium plans will increase in price in Mexico, Ecuador, Chile, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Peru, the United States, Canada, Spain and more countries. The increase varies depending on the region and the contracted plan.

What are the new prices of Spotify’s premium plans in Mexico?

The price increases are not very significant, but they are reflected in all premium plans. Users who live in some of the affected territories will receive a notification via email, where they will be informed about the new costs and the date on which they will enter into force.

According to the information, these will be the new prices for Premium plans in Mexico:

  • Premium Student Plan ― $69.00 MXN per month (before it was $57 MXN)
  • Individual Premium Plan ― $129 MXN per month (previously $115 MXN)
  • Premium Duo Plan ― $169 MXN per month (previously $149 MXN)
  • Family Premium Plan ― $199 MXN per month (previously $179 MXN)

Fortunately, existing subscribers will have a one-month grace period at current pricing unless they cancel before the grace period ends.
