Sony enhances immersive sound and noise cancellation in new WF-1000XM5 wireless headphones

July 24 (Portaltic/EP) –

sony has presented its new wireless headphones ‘true wireless’ WF-1000XM5in which it offers better performance of noise cancellation and immersive sound, with ergonomic design to ensure stable use.

The new WF-1000XM5 incorporate audio processors in real time and a Dynamic Driver X diaphragm unit on the microphones to offer better performance of the noise cancellation technology.

With this design, Sony claims that its new headphones offer “wide frequency reproduction, deep bass and clear vocals”, so that the user feels “as if he were in a studio with his favorite artists”

The WF-1000XM5s now feature three microphones in each earpiece, including two feedback microphones, which facilitate the elimination of low frequencies. The company explains that it is of the greatest advance it has made in noise cancellationwhich translates into capturing ambient sound more accurately.

The new V2 onboard processor controls all six microphones to provide a noise cancellation that can adapt to offer the best result in the environment in which the user is. Combined with the HD QN2e noise canceling processor, the WF-1000XM5 boasts an accuracy of 24-bit audio processing and a high performance analog amplification.

The company has also highlighted that the noise reduction ear cushions feature a unique polyurethane foam material, which reduces noise in the higher frequency range.

These headphones offer wireless high-resolution audio thanks to LDACas well as DSEE Extreme for enhance compressed digital music in real time, and the function 360 Reality Audio create an immersive sound experience.

In addition, the WF-1000XM5 headphones come equipped with a head Tracking Technology, that automatically adjusts the sound field to compensate for head movement. This way sounds are precisely aligned with the phone’s screen, even when the user moves, to fully envelop them in whatever they’re seeing on the screen.

When it comes to calls, the WF-1000XM5 have a noise reduction algorithm based on artificial intelligence with deep neural network processing and the bone conduction sensors. As they explain from Sony, this makes the voice arrive clearly and more naturally, even in noisy environments, being also capable of reducing wind noise outside.

The shape of the headphones is based on the shape of the human ear, with an ergonomic design which ensures a stable placement. They are also about 25 percent smaller and about 20 percent lighter than their predecessors (WF-1000XM4).

To improve the listening experience, the technology company has incorporated the auto play function, with which you can customize the cadence of the music, and the audio notifications. They also have the adaptive sound control and ‘Speak-to-Chat’ functions (talk via chat), as well as multipoint connection, which allows you to pair two Bluetooth devices simultaneously so that when a call comes in, the headphones automatically know which device is ringing and connect to the correct one.

The battery in these headphones offers up to eight hours of uninterrupted listening, and a three-minute quick charge gets you up to 60 minutes of playtime. They are compatible with Qi wireless technology and have IPX4 water resistance, so they can be used during sports activities or in the rain.

The WF-1000XM5 feature recycled plastic materials, and incorporate Sony’s proprietary Original Blended Material paper for packaging. They will be available in August to an approximate price of 320 euros.
