Freight transportation costs rose 8%

In June, the monthly variation of the Road Freight Transportation Cost Index (Ictc) was -0.30%, which shows a slight respite in the finances of carriers, but annually, the variation is 8.77%.

Comparing June 2023 and June 2022, the fuel group (2.15%) presented the lowest variation, below the national average.

On the other hand, the groups of Fixed costs and tolls (12.37%), Parts, pieces, maintenance and repair services (14.43%) and inputs (14.74%) registered variations above the national average.

By cost classes, the main positive contributions to the annual variation were: cost of the vehicle and its leverage (24.94%), labor driver(s) and helper(s) (11.27%) and fuels (2.15%).

Regarding the first semester, in June 2023, compared to December 2022, the Ictc registered a variation of 3.11%, where the fuel group (0.86%) presented variation below the national average.

Besidesthe groups Fixed costs and tolls (3.89%), Supplies (5.34%) and parts, pieces, maintenance services (7.74%).
