The Last of Us it has many flagship elements, and the third person view in one of them. Although it’s extremely difficult to imagine Joel and Ellie’s adventures from another perspective, one extremely talented modder proved that the first-person camera would make the game look more intense.
The Last of Us: Part IIthe remastered version of the 2013 classic, debuted on PC at the beginning of 2023. It’s no secret to anyone that the launch was a disaster due to the terrible state of the port, although the situation is much more favorable at the moment thanks to the updates that fixed many of the more serious drawbacks.
With many of the technical issues aside, the modding community slowly began to flourish and create all sorts of interesting mods. In April, we told you about the case of the youtuber Voyagers Revenge, who showed a video of a mod that turns The Last of Us: Part II in a first person shooter.

The youtuber reappeared and shared an impressive new trailer that proves that, indeed, the fresh perspective makes Naughty Dog’s acclaimed title an entirely different experience.
The almost 9-minute video, which you can see if you give click here, shows some sequences of the main campaign. We see Joel use his pistol and rifle to take out the fearsome Infected and aggressive Survivors. Without a doubt, the first person view makes the confrontations more intense and wild.
The modder has been working on this project for months, and uses tools created by other users.
The mod looks impressive, and there are fans who say that the result looks professional. That said, it’s still far from finished, and according to Voyagers Revenge, the current version is unstable. Unfortunately, it is unknown when it will be ready and available for players to download and use on their PCs.
